Meet Dr. Aileen Cangiano-Heath, M.D.
Dr. Aileen Cangiano-Heath is the driving force behind Victory Medical Group. With a distinguished medical career that spans over two decades, Dr. Cangiano-Heath brings a wealth of expertise and dedication to the field of neurology, specializing in traumatic brain injuries, epilepsy, and stroke management. Her leadership and commitment to patient-centered care have earned her numerous accolades and recognitions throughout her career.
Dr. Cangiano-Heath’s journey to becoming a highly respected neurologist began at Syracuse University, where she earned dual degrees in Biology and Spanish Language, Culture, and Literature. She continued her medical training at Howard University College of Medicine, graduating with top honors and receiving the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) National Medical Honor Society award for academic excellence.
Dr. Cangiano-Heath further honed her skills through a neurology residency and fellowship in epilepsy and critical care EEG at SUNY Stony Brook, where she gained in-depth experience in handling complex neurological conditions. During this time, she also served as a Covid-19 Deployment Team Leader, further showcasing her dedication to patient care in critical situations.
Her military service as a Commander in the U.S. Navy has also played a significant role in shaping her career. Dr. Cangiano-Heath has been awarded the Meritorious Service Medal and the Navy & Marine Corps Achievement Medal for her excellence in leadership and operational service. As the Traumatic Brain Injury Training Officer in Afghanistan, she trained over 600 soldiers and healthcare personnel in managing brain injuries, further solidifying her expertise in the field of neurology.
